==================
Sorry if this got posted before, but our mail server
was down for a while, and I didn't get an auto reply
when I posted it for the first time. By the way: Many
thanks for the help I got re-registering.

Could anyone make a posting on how/where to get emx GCC? Since
we're into comparisons between emx and go32 now, I think this
is sufficiently pertaining to this newsgroup. I wasn't able
to find it on the emTeX server in Stuttgart.

Also, I was not able to find out how localtime figures out local time
from the real-time clock setting and the setting of the TZ environment
variable. Here (in Germany), without any setting, localtime is <local
time> + 5 hours. Our SunOS manuals say that there's either a direct
name for a time zone or it's GMT[+|-]<something>. For us (in Germany)
it should be MET, which doesn't work (still 5 hours early). GMT-<somehting>
works, but GMT+<something> does not. Besides, GMT is not supposed
to support DST. Can anyone help?

Can anyone help? Thanx in advance :-> Chipsy Sperber
