Subject:	how can I get the date ?

What C function can I call to get the date ? I was looking in the
include dir and saw a file called time.h, I think my answer lies within this
file, but I am not sure how "read" a header file.

This leads me to another point, there seems to little documentation on
what is available. And all the docs in the DOCS directory are format funny and
I am not sure to read them.

Can someone help me with these 2 points ?
