Bob,

I have seen a potentially similar problem.

After running demacs, I am unable to run Procomm.  It is not able
to open the "dialing directory."

Rebooting fixes the problem.  Another (interesting) workaround is
to run Procomm from a DOS session under Windows 3.1.
