Yes, this seems to be a variation on a well-known problem in which
Kermit refused to run simultaneously with GO32 under DV(/X)?.  This
was addressed, and as far as I can tell, fixed in one of the most
publicized changes included in v. 1.09.  You'll have to check the
archives, but I believe this was limited to v. 1.08.
