True, but that should only be the case for _initialized_ arrays.  This is
a bug in G++ 2.6.

Have you tried actually comparing the speeds?  Besides, it's much simpler
to say int foo[1000]; than int foo=new int[1000]; ... delete foo;

Is the problem with compilation or with linking?  For some reason, the
mouse.o in libgrx.a defines rawclock spuriously...you have to rebuild it
and replace it.
