Wow, I don't normally think of myself as old, but the PCjr came and went a long
time ago...

Think underpowered PC (and I mean PC as in 8088 with floppies).  I am sure
others have more historical details, but they can't (couldn't) run djgpp
anyway, so it's no problem for you.
