  ... and it has online help... very extensive online help! Vi is very
useful but takes a long time to get used to coming from DOS-style
editors.. the help is very useful :)

  The fun thing about vi is you start out think it's crap, then you get
used to it, and then have to do something where there's no vi, and end
up with all these hjkl's and x's everywhere :)

 Oh yeah the other nice thing about vim is that it tells you when you're
insert mode by having --INSERT-- down the bottom. Very appreciated.
