Probably, they mean that the inner loops of all their graphics routines
(which are certainly written in assembly language) are optimised for
Pentium processors. The -m486 option only specifies that C code will be
486-optimised; GCC never touches your assembler stuff.

I heard an unconfirmed rumour (from a NIN fan) that the band, or some
member of the band, is/are producing the music for the game. Don't get too
excited though; it could be completely untrue. I agree that Quake is
extremely cool (runs a bit crap on my 486DX4/100/8MB but I'm upgrading to
a P5-75/16MB tomorrow - can't wait to try it out)
