Hello all,
I have recently decided to take the plunge into V2 gcc but I have
a major problem. Nothing will compile, link, or do anything at all! If
I do a compile with the -v switch I get all the guff at the start with
the search list etc. but then it just hangs. There is a little bit of
disk activity for a while, then all goes quiet, I have left it there for
hours but to no avail. If I do the same whilst running a DOS box from
Win 95, it works okay occasionly, but it wont run the linked program :)
Using the debugger shows the program crashing before it reaches any code
I have produced!!
Please help me out here cause I was hoping to use V2 to upgrade
my VESA library into Linear Framebuffer usage, which I couldn't get to
work in V1.
Brief machine description:
AMD 486DX4-100 overclocked to 120Mhz
8Mb RAM
256kb Cache (I think :()
1Gb HD
All pretty basic stuff (although the motherboard may be stuffed).
Thanx for any help
Steve
(Oh yeah, DJGPP=C:\GCC2\DJGPP.ENV)
