This particular flag is checked by the DJGPP startup code. If the bit is
set, the entire program is locked in memory.

Don't give up that fast, the problem must be fairly simple. Just don't
throw in the towel, read the error message(s) you get and try to
understand them. If you cannot figure this out, post the exact messages
(or, better still, a complete script of the build process) and someone
will help you.
