Because I don't know so much about all the mouse drivers, I cannot
say something correct, only some thoughts.

As I implememted the mouse functions in RHIDE (they have changed since
Beta5), I used the functions, which are described in R. Browns interrupt
list and I thought, that these functions should be provided by all
currently used mouse drivers. As you said, your mouse driver is probably
not compatible with this assumption.
Have you tried to use the microsoft mouse driver, which comes with
MS-DOS
or any other MS copatible driver?? May be it works with your mouse.
