Aaagh! I'm getting tired of trying to post this, but here goes try #3:

Well, I'm back from Utah (snowboarding was reasonable good despite the
record high temps) and just finished polishing up BCD v1.0 (A CD-ROM
audio playing library for DJGPP. It's about time I shared back with the
DJGPP community, I think.) It's swapware a la Allegro.
You can snag BCD at http://brennan.home.ml.org/programming/
or via FTP at ftp.rt66.com:/users/brennan/bcd_100.zip
or via my usual DJGPP page at http://brennan.home.ml.org/djgpp/
in the Sound section.
It has only been tested on my Creative Labs 4x, but I wrote to the Microsoft
spec so of course it will work, just like DPMI always does. (A bit
of sarcasm there.)
But seriously, snag it and test it. It should work well, and it ought to be
a reasonably good example of doing ioctl() commands w/DJGPP.
