I've recently got a ZIP drive (brilliant little things) however it's a
bit too slow to run big programs off. So I've split my DJGPP
installation into two parts, one that has all the major stuff (cc1, etc)
on the main HD (C:) and the rest on the ZIP (D:). Now the only problem
is that CWSDPMI no longer gets automagically loaded if DPMI is not
available. CWSDPMI is in the path and in the bin/ directory of both
disks yet I still get a "Load Error: DPMI unavailable". Any hints?
Also on an unrelated problem, djtar seem too choke on big directory
lists. For example I have a few .tgz archives from a CTAN site that have
a directory structure like this
"/pub/tex/CTAN/macros/latex/contrib/supported/custm-bib/"
that djtar refuses to decompress. It just says unable to create (above
long directory list) enter new name. No matter what I enter as a new
name the error keeps happening. Again, any hints?
Your help much appreciated
