it's quite possibly another manifestation of the 'tab bug' which i found some
time ago. do you have 'real-tabs' set on? if so try it without them (and a new
source file) and see if you still have the problem. i switched real-tabs off
eventually and now i dont have any problems but also i dont have the nice feature
of being able to indent things easily which sucks a bit :( oh well.
