I haven't used this boot loader yet, but there is one at
the following address that is under the GNU GPL.  It is
advertised as having a menu type interface.

A long time ago, I say something called osbs or something
similar.  I recall it as having a simple menu.  FreeBSD 
has a loader.  So there are several floating around.  Some
may not be to your liking.
