The djgpp port of WATTCP does exactly that - there is a version in with the
DOS Lynx sources, try looking at <ftp:/ftp.delorie.com/pub/dj/lynx26s.zip>,
or at <http://lab1.psy.univie.ac.at/~michael/tcplib-dj200.html> for the
tcplib on its own, or there is my (modified ) version of the same tcp
library at <ftp:/neonatal.sm.ic.ac.uk/tcplib> (with some
changes-in-progress to work around some limitations in the original port
that relate to features unused by lynx - which does very little in the way
of network 'write' - after all it is a browser! - I am implementing an 'ftp
client api')
