i am not sure exactly what you mean by "the vertical retrace problem".
that said, i do not think that has any place in the djgpp FAQ. it is a
graphics programming issue and should not be compiler dependent.
besides, you always have the allegro sources to look at.
the FAQ does contain information and pointers for interrupt handlers.
the fact is, the FAQ does cover at least 90% if not more of the issues.
ok. i just searched the archives (another resource most people fail to
make use of), and found your post.) i have no idea how it is done, but i
have one question: what exactly does not work? if you checked the docs
on inp, you would see that it does nothing but call inportb.
