Genady, have a look at http://www.physiol.med.tu-muenchen.de/~robert/freetype.html for a TTF lib and at http://www.neuroinformatik.ruhr-uni-bochum.de/ini/PEOPLE/rmz/t1lib.html for a Type 1 rasterizer.
