Have you put the following lines in your autoexec.bat?
set path=e:\djgpp\bin; // assumming that is the correct directory you
unziped to. and
set djgpp=e:\djgpp\djgpp.env
if you do this and reboot your computer things should work fine.
Note replace the directories with the ones you installed DJGPP to.
