|Hi, I'm set to run a programming contest in a few weeks and I was
wondering
|if any of you have any suggestions on how to run it. I use C/C++,
Pascal,
|QBASIC, and Visual Basic, and the idea is I give them an idea for a
|program, and the best one wins. What criteria should I use, and how
should
|I promote it.
=============
Start by changing your list to "C, C++, Pascal, QBASIC, and Visual
Basic". C and C++ are different languages. Even better, drop the *Basic
choices.
Note that Pascal has as many implementation differences as could be
imagined. This means that without specifying which Pascal you mean, you
are in trouble. The list now looks like "C and C++". The Pascal
variant, since this is a gnu-offshoot NG, could well be gpc. Adding g77
and objective-C would be nice for gcc users.
