Good heavens, what are you doing? I see a few problems at work:
Is "gcc" your base install directory? In that case, the GCC sources
should be in `gnu/gcc-2.8.1'. Did you unzip the source archive
correctly?
Probably you are missing an important tool for building GCC. Read the
README.DJGPP file for it. `sed' is a likely suspect.
Do you really want to compile GCC from sources? It may not be easy, and
the executables are available in gcc281b.zip.
