I figured, they are trying to wrap up a release. Busy time, wasn't
bothered by it at all.

tried that. if I boot from the floppy or cd I can go C: and see all
the files
when I boot its a blank screen. (both msdos and freedos) installed
linux
with a grub everything boots fine. was going to try freedos with a
bootloader this time.

I have never done dos stuff on linux, but linux is definately easier
to use/install.
Just install everything is done, software and hardware go on, connect
to the internet
is as easy as clicking on firefox in most places. I build alot of
windows machines
and that takes a day to get all the software and ms update on and
allready to go, linux its all done
in less that 45 mins. easier than windows if you ask me.
ubuntu is pretty slick. although I prefer the version with xfce as the
desktop.

unless i get a working install im SOL, will have compile and walk away
get coffee, take a nap etc
