Hi
It's quite alright, I don't use DOS much anymore, but it's got a special
place in my heart, as does DJGPP, as it was my first C compiler.=20
1: Yes, the HD needs to be partitioned. It will probably be drive letter =
"C"
once partitioned. Then it needs to be formatted. See the previous link =
for
details.
2: I don't remember, but it probably is setup.exe or something on the =
boot
CD for FreeDOS.
3: Yes, once it is partitioned and formatted.
None of this is any different than how you would treat a real HD, save =
the
initial setup of the .VDI virtual hard drive file.
Hope that clears it up,
Matt

Matt, I'm sorry I'm bodering you so much with this item, but I belong to =
the
ones that think djgpp will never die neither DOS, and I will run my game
with music under DOS though it is the last thing I'll do=A0 (don't know =
if I
failed with the expression .... I'm practicing my English)
=A0
let's go:
=A0
Do I need to partition my VHD? If I can't even access, and don't know =
the
letter (A, B, C, ...)=A0for that (virtual) drive ......
=A0
What about the complete FreeDOS installation? how do I do it?
=A0
Is there any way so that I can type C: [Enter] and then appears C:\>??? =
And
to copy from somewhere my game files to that C: (virtual) drive???
=A0
however, I'll take a look to the link you gave me

Hi,
Fdisk is for partitioning hard drives. This needs to be done before you
format a drive. This should help -=A0 =

=A0

Hi,
You should fdisk (to partition), then format, just like on a real DOS
install. Or do the FreeDOS install and get it all done at once.=A0 =
Sounds like
your getting there!

Subject: Virtual HD in VBox - configuration
hi guys
I have just edited the configuration of my virtual machine,
=A0
went to "Storage" (almacenamiento) and it says IDE controller -> Storage
Tree -> Pablito.vdi (with a drawing of a hard disk) and host unit F:=A0 =
....
but for the VHD (Pablito.vdi) it doesn't appear C: nor any letter .... I
tried touching everything there but nothing
=A0
Am I closer to my solution by there? can you help me?
