Ok, I finished a quick project with it, and I find no show-stoppers. It works fine with my experimental SPICE netlister.

However, the new dangling net behavior in gschem makes editing more difficult, especially when doing "cut and paste" operations. The box that used to adorn dangling nets sometimes disappears, and more often than not the disappearance is inappropriate: a connection is still missing.

The predicate for box disappearance appears to be either >1 pin connected, or >0 pins and a netname, to any connected net segment. This is very unreliable for determining missing connections, especially when you're cutting and pasting. Also, with the default color scheme, it's rather hard to see exactly where the net segment ends. It's much harder to spot a net segment that stops short of a connection in a crowded part of the schematic than it used to be, and harder to see where to make a connection to a dangling net.

My normal flow is to dangle a net segment whenever I know I'm going to need to add to it later, and the box helps remind me. But no more (unless it just has one pin). And when cutting/pasting the boxes were also helpful in previous versions. This new behavior gives the designer less help here.
