If you have a ground plane then the rats to ground are simply shown as
circles (indicating you just need a via to make the connection).

To create a ground plane:
1. Place a rectangle or polygon to create the plane
2. manually connect one ground pin or pad to the plane using a line
with "new lines clear polygons" turned off.
