* no openGL acceleration, no 3D eye candy

* additional newbie irritation

* additional complexity in the documentation

* a major developer of PCB keeps himself detached from code portions
  that are related to GTK.

BTW, an application that uses GTK is in no way automatically associated
with Gnome.
