I don't work on geda-gaf any more, you've probably heard about the
geda-gaf fork 'lepton-eda' on this list ;-) So any question about
geda-gaf should go to Roland, who is its leader these days. Our
fork is not mature enough to ask DJ for adding its mirror on the
official gEDA site yet, it has at least some renaming issues yet
that we have to solve in order it to not conflict with geda-gaf
on end users' machines.

One note, though. I think geda-gaf 1.9.2 is as stable as 1.8.2,
and its documentation in the repo and in the gEDA wiki is a bit
better (I believe). While some GUI efforts were not finished, you
can just try to use it. Or you can try a newer version of our
fork, lepton-eda, we've released a while ago, which is 1.9.3.

As I can see today, gEDA is not a dead horse, at least compared
with the situation five-seven years before ;-) (I don't consider
some bigger, social issues, preventing new Iphone generation to
work on such 'mature' (read old-big-mess) projects these days.)
