the usual workaround with PCB is to not include it in the footprint.
Put it on the outline layer, and it gets routed by the fab.


pcb-rnd is close to having this:  "we can have slots in subcircuits already, but subcircuits can't replace footprints yet"

But that requires time spent compiling and all before you get started, and then help comes from irc://repo.hu/pcb-rnd
