I did a disk check on both systems and didn't get any bad sectors. Some additional info: All systems use QEMM All systems use SMARTDRV.EXE (from WIN3.1) All systems are 486/16MB Has anyone observed similar problems - I vaguely recall that there were? I do not mean the rare disk hang problems. --Chris
