Subject: 6157-002 with DJGPP?

Has someone written a tar or something like it to use IBM 6157-002
tapedrive under DOS? I suppose it would be possible to read and write to
tape with DJGPP, but these matters are too deep for me.

Must I buy 100 disks, or can I use one QIC?
