No need to even restart. Change is active immediately when next DOS window is opened after registry change is done. I do not know however about Windows 7. Andris PS. I build GCC binaries for DJGPP under Windows Vista Business and that requires much more than 32Mb. --------------050108090305060704020708 Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit On 03/23/2011 11:00 AM, Gerrit van Niekerk wrote:

what about Windows 7 ?

Use Win7 64-bit and install Windows Virtual PC including Windows XP mode. You can run your DJGPP programs either in XP mode or in vanilla DOS if you want to.

In Windows Vista (SP1 or newer) You can increase this limit by adding corresponding registry entry. No need to even restart. Change is active immediately when next DOS window is opened after registry change is done. I do not know however about Windows 7.

PS. I build GCC binaries for DJGPP under Windows Vista Business and that requires much more than 32Mb.
