thank you for testing the package!

Yes, long file name support is required to compile the samples. The
files together with their long names are ported from Linux.

I will have to test your findings here and then post the results. I
doubt that I get the beep to work on todays boards with HD audio chips
and no internal speaker.

You may have forgotten to use the fr.bat file when running demo2 and
grabdemo or "redir" was not in the path. These are printf() statements
which corrupt the display since they do not work in VESA mode. I
redirected them with fr.bat.
The samples came with the original libraries and I did not take the
debug printf() statements out. I do not know if you can redirect them
to NUL with GO32.

xhello will terminate if you click inside the window, that is
intentional.
