Message-ID: User-Agent: Alpine 2.00 (BSO 1167 2008-08-23) MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; format=flowed; charset=US-ASCII Reply-To: geda-help AT delorie DOT com OK, so I'm a newbie. When I copy downloaded symbols into the directory structure (/usr/local/share/gEDA/sym under OpenBSD) sometimes I can see them in gschem and sometimes not. Does not seeing them mean there's something wrong with those symbols or is there something else I have to do, maybe analogous to mkfontdir to regenerate the indexes? I CVSed a bunch from gedasymbols.org but I don't think I'm seeing all of them. More recently I got an NE602 symbol from http://custard.restall.net/geda/index.php but I don't see it. Do names have to be unique or only within directories? Thank you, Alan Corey, ab1jx http://ab1jx AT webs DOT com
