I did some research into coatings for HV recently and found that the water based ones don't really work well
as far as production needs or repair, and hydrocarbon solvent is the way of the world -- just
no freon anymore.  So you will find thinners for spraying and better brushing for most of them.
Sounds like you need some just to brush well.
