Took a brief fling with Kicad.... ....wanted to slit my wrists. Too many menus, dialogs, buttons, forms. Question 1: I'm running gschem (1.6.2.20110115) on Ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS. When I try to add attributes such as "device" within gschem they end up way off the visible area of the screen. The x and y positions are usually large negative values. For example: T -500 -1350 8 10 0 0 0 0 1 device=SPI_potentiometer Is this normal, user error, a bug or feature? Question 2: Tragesym seems to work well with the text template input. However I like shorter pins. Is the source available for tragesym so I can change it? I only find old links that are broken. Or is tragesym not used any more? Thanks, Roger Traylor
