Did you do > sudo apt-get install guile-2.2-dev > (or -devel) ? My question wasn't about how to compile etc., it was about the guile-2.0 dependancy. $ pkg-config --cflags guile-2.2 -pthread -I/usr/include/guile/2.2 $ pkg-config --cflags guile-2.0 Package guile-2.0 was not found in the pkg-config search path. Perhaps you should add the directory containing `guile-2.0.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable No package 'guile-2.0' found $ I could install guile-2.0 in e.g. /usr/local/guile-2.0.x as I have done for guile-1.8.8 and provide suitable configure flags, but it is nice if I can avoid doing so.
