A>I just ftp'd Antonio's improved version of Xlibemu--it's _much_ better than
A>the old version on omnigate, which provided much too little functionality for
A>any real programs. One question, though (I don't know much about X
A>programming right now): How do you write a replacement for fvwm() which does
A>nothing unless it sees that you've typed Alt-F4 (or some such key) in which
A>case it exits cleanly? Half the time I press Ctrl-Break, I have to type `mode
A>co80' to restore text mode, and the rest of the time I get a screen-long
A>stack trace, which makes me just a bit nervous. BTW, I also got the imake
A>stuff from MIT (for R6, of course, but it's a separate tool so I figure it
A>won't make much difference) and am in the process of porting it (mostly the
A>template, of course) to DJGPP; where should I post the result?
Hi. Nice to see people find it useful :-)
Yes, you are right. It would be nice to have a minimum version of fvwm()
window manager that could recognize ALT-F4 and some little more...
Anybody volunteers to help bring a decent X develop. environment to
DJGPP?
Things to do:
- fvwm() emulator
- missing functions in Xlibemu (mainly color stuff related to colormaps)
Regards,
Antonio.
