I just recently downloaded the djgpp files and
ran the install program with just the minimum files
required and using the default directory djgpp.


When the installation was finished, the documentation
suggests running tryit to test the compilation procedure.

I ran tryit (and also testit) in the /djgpp/samples/hello
directory and the following was printed out:

c:/djgpp/bin/gcc.exe version 1.09 copyright (c) 1991 DJ Delorie
Can't open file <-v>

and then it would hang requiring a
cold reboot since ctr-alt-del wasn't effective

I have
c:\djgpp\bin
in my path

and also I ran
setdjgpp c:\djgpp c:/djgpp
which set the following environment variables (as verified by set)
DJGPP=c:/djgpp/djgpp.env
GO32TMP=c:/djgpp/tmp

so what am I still missing here?
